Excellence in Christ Centered Education

WHY CHOOSE NCS?

Faculty “make or break” a school and NCS has been blessed with a loving team whose academic credentials and daily walk with Christ enable them to maximize the classroom experience for all students. Children thrive in a school environment where they are loved, nurtured, and totally secure.

God has blessed us with a great facility; however, the heart of this incredible school is what attracts our families. The NCS community shares the same heartbeat for a Christ-centered education. Webster defines community as a “feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.” Our community is warm, welcoming, and strongly in support of one another.

The school’s foundation is often illustrated with a three-legged stool that represents the home, church, and school. These three institutions work together to prepare our children to grow, as Jesus did (Luke 2:52), in wisdom (intellect), stature (physical), favor with God (spiritual), and favor with man (social). We are in the foundation business as we prepare our graduates to excel in their pursuit of secondary education.

Keeping Jesus Christ Central Since 1966.

Educating a child and shepherding their heart to nurture a growing love for the Lord is what we are most passionate about.

  • Nurturing the Spirit

  • Engaging the Mind

  • Transforming the World for Jesus

We hope you will consider scheduling an appointment to meet us, or RSVP to come to one of our open house events.

OUR VALUES

To provide children of Christian families with a Christ centered education that promotes biblical principles, academic excellence, and a lifetime of service to God.

Our vision is to produce Christian champions who are well rooted in Biblical truth, doers of the Word, living in their faith, bearing fruit in their circles of influence, excelling academically and standing for Christ as they contend for the Faith.  Students will view all aspects of life through the lens of God’s Word to be difference-makers for Christ, impacting generations to come.

The purpose of NCS is to educate children for a life of obedience to their calling in this world as image-bearers of God. This calling is to know God’s Word and His creation, to consecrate the whole of human life to God, to love their fellow man, and to be stewards in their God-given tasks.

Functioning as an extension of the Christian home, Northwest Christian School supports parents who seek to obey the Biblical instruction, which gives them ultimate responsibility for the education of their children (Deuteronomy 6:7-8). Because the Christian approach to learning differs significantly from the secular viewpoint, Northwest Christian School offers a curriculum rooted in a God-centered view of life. This view holds that all truth is God’s truth and the Bible is the benchmark or authority for all of life. The curriculum, taught by a qualified Christian faculty, allows parents to provide their children with academic instruction consistent with the Christ centered teaching received at home and church.

Our purpose is to share the riches of God’s grace and glory through Christian education. Studying and applying God’s Word enables our students to be filled with the wisdom of God and glorifies Him in their everyday living.

Our basis, as stated in our constitution, is the “firm belief in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, the infallible Word of God.” Our theological understandings based on the above, are also stated in our constitution.

The Statement of Faith is fundamental to basic Christian tenets and contains those doctrines to which we unreservedly adhere and teach.

We believe:

  • In the divine inspiration, infallibility and final authority of the Bible as the Word of God as it is written inthe Old and New Testaments,
  • In one supreme God the Creator and Sustainer of the universe eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
  • In the unique Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate, virgin born Son of God,
  • In the representative and substitutionary death of our Lord Jesus Christ as the necessary atonement for our sins,
  • In the power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration and His continuing work in the heart of the believer,
  • In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord and that blessed hope, His personal return,
  • In the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost,
  • In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Parent Testimonials

“We couldn’t be more grateful for the education and spiritual mentorship our daughters have been gifted with at this school. What a feeling it is to know that even during the summer breaks, there are teachers praying for the souls of my children. They hold the children to a high standard but with so much grace. Our children LOVE it here!”

ANDREW GRUSWITZ, Parent
“We feel so blessed to have the opportunity to send our children to NCS. It is so powerful to have a school that incorporates biblical application into a strong academic curriculum.  NCS creates an environment where children can thrive in all aspects. We appreciate the school so much. It is so evident that each teacher and staff member aims to connect with each student, encourages growth in their relationship with the Lord & is so devoted into making them succeed.  Thank you NCS!”

ASHLEY WALECK, Parent
