In April, grades 1-8 are administered the TerraNova III, the official standardized test of the Association of Christian Schools International. The TerraNova III is a nationally recognized and highly regarded standardized test, which consists of two to three subtests and is given over five consecutive days.
Once the tests are scored and returned, the school gets a copy of the results for each student file, and a detailed print out depicting how each student’s academic performance compared to thousands of students who took the same test. Students who score below the 40% percentile in mathematics or language are eligible to receive small group tutorial services provided in our school building by the Sussex County Educational Commission. A Sussex County Education Commission representative will contact the parents to notify them of their child’s eligibility and to seek parental permission for their child to receive tutorial services.
