At Northwest Christian School we not only see the importance of academics, but we also see the importance of teaching service. Just as Matthew 20:28 says, “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,” we as a Christian organization follow Christ’s example viewing our local community as a mission field. By reaching out to our community in Christian service, we train our students to follow Christ’s lead and serve others who are in need physically, emotionally, and spiritually, thus glorifying God in their actions.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10-11
