According to the PSEL (Professional Standards for Educational Leaders), a great school leader must be a developer and builder of people and effective systems, moral, fair, an effective communicator, caring, a collaborator, respectful, trustworthy, data-driven, reflective and a delegator of responsibilities. The standards are the “standard” of what a model school leader should be and they are the platform in which I use as an educational leader here at Northwest Christian School. My NCS PSEL platform is carefully constructed upon a solid Rock as its foundation. That Rock is Jesus Christ; the hope of the world and the master of the universe. It is from His Word and His Holy Spirit that I draw the  strength to lead as He did and strive towards the PSEL standards.

Jesus is the greatest leader of all-time. Jesus did not lord over people, instead he came to serve, save, protect, renew, to wash, to bless, to heal, to teach, preach and to bring life more abundantly. He humbled himself and carried the cross so that the world would be redeemed.

I am honored to be able to serve our kingdom families, our churches and our communities here in Northwest Jersey. My personal philosophy for all our students here at Northwest Christian School is to “Be respectful. Be responsible and get a good education. To love God, to love others like you love yourself.”

Be Respectful:

Respect is a mutual expectation for all stakeholders. People will not follow a person they do not respect. Students will have a hard time learning if they feel disrespected. Parents will not involve themselves unless they understand their value. Staff will not be inspired unless they respect the mission, vision and understand the different perspectives of our community, in order to get there, it starts with respecting them as professionals. As principal of NCS, I lead with and model respect for all.

Be Responsible:

Responsibility is having the capacity to do your job in a moral, legal, biblical and outstanding way. As Principal at NCS, I commit to continuously encourage, foster and expect all stakeholders to be responsible for themselves, others and for the glory of the Lord. All are responsible for being great and to do all things as we were doing it for the Lord himself; this is our mindset.

Get A Good Education:

A good education is rigorous, fair, differentiated and relevant. It inspires and motivates. It opens doors of opportunities. It enlightens and transforms. At NCS we will strive for academic excellence and the holistic development of all stakeholders while enriching everyone with biblical principals and sound doctrine. We also want our students to have joy and fun in learning. As your principal, I will strive to make all of this a reality.

Love God. Love Others and you love yourself:

The Lord told us the greatest commandment. At NCS we will fight to maintain the bond of peace and be an active part of the body of Christ. We will do this by loving one another. By forgiving and showing mercy. It is by our love that they will recognize we are His. We take the love for God, the treatment of others and the whole health of our family very seriously.

I look forward to meeting you and serving you.

Respectfully and with love,

Vini Quinteros
