Northwest Christian School is seeking a highly motivated, engaged, and passionate Middle School Math and Science Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidates will have the ability to articulate a Biblical worldview.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in education, engineering, or related field of study.
- Experience with teaching middle school math and science concepts desired.
- Current educator’s license (any US state)
- Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Certification a plus.
- 2+ years’ experience teaching in a classroom, preferably in a Christian School.
- Follower of Jesus Christ, active membership in a local Evangelical Church, and committed to modeling and teaching from a Biblical worldview.
Additional Selection Criteria for Prospective Math and Science Teachers
- Articulates knowledge of best practices in teaching math and science.
- Proficient in integrating the Biblical worldview into instruction.
- Proficient in the use and integration of technology in the classroom, including SMART Board Technology.
- Proficient in the use of differentiated instructional strategies within the classroom.
- Articulates understanding of the unique developmental needs of middle school students.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal skills.
- Understands and applies knowledge of current professional literature and best practices.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving skills.
- Shows skill and sensitivity in working with all members of the school community.
- Willing to contribute regularly to school community activities.
