Job Summary:
Northwest Christian School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resource Room
Teacher to support students with identified learning needs. This individual will provide
specialized instruction in a resource room setting and serve as an in-class support teacher in elementary and middle school classrooms, depending on the need. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students succeed academically, socially, and spiritually while integrating a biblical worldview into their teaching and support strategies. This position reports directly to the Administrator and the Director of Student Services.

Responsibilities:
● Provide direct instruction and intervention to students with identified learning needs in a resource room setting (with ISP and 504 plans).
● Develop and Implement strategies to work toward individual goals utilizing modifications and accommodations to support student success.
● Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide in-class support and differentiated
instruction (for struggling students with or without BSI, ISP and 504)
● Track student progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with teachers,
parents, and administrators.
● Utilize biblical principles to encourage and uplift students, fostering a Christ-centered
learning environment.
● Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, or a related field
(Master’s preferred).
● Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or willingness to obtain).
● ACSI Teacher certification preferred.
● Experience working with students who have learning differences and/or
accommodations under ISP’s and 504 plans.
● Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, parents, and
administrators.
● A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a willingness to integrate faith into teaching practices.

● Ability to differentiate instruction and provide individualized support in both pull-out and push-in models.
● A heart for ministry and a passion for helping students reach their God-given potential.
