Reports To: NCS Principal
Position Summary NCS is seeking a vibrant and spiritually mature Spanish Teacher to
join our school team for the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on teaching
Spanish to students in Grades 4–8, helping them develop language proficiency while
gaining an appreciation for diverse cultures through a biblical worldview.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction: Design and lead engaging Spanish lessons for students in grades
4–8, focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills.
- Biblical Integration: Integrate biblical truth into language lessons, helping
students see how communication can be used to fulfill the Great Commission.
- Academic Management: Responsible for all grading, lesson planning, and
maintaining accurate records within the school’s Student Information System
(SIS).
- Parental Partnership: Maintain professional and proactive communication with
parents regarding student progress and language development.
- Classroom Environment: Maintain a Christ-centered, organized, and
encouraging classroom culture that motivates students to learn a second
language.
Qualifications
- Spiritual Commitment: A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear
testimony and alignment with the evangelical mission of NCS.
- Church Involvement: An active member in good standing at a local evangelical
Christian church.
- Educational Background: * Required: Bachelor’s degree in Spanish,
Education, or a related field. Preferred: State teaching certification or ACSI certification.
- Experience: Prior experience teaching Spanish to elementary or middle school
students is highly preferred.
- Skills: Fluency in Spanish is required. Must have strong classroom management
skills and the ability to make language learning fun and accessible.
